One practice, three scales.
We draw the ground, the building and the room as a single problem, because on site they behave like one.
HOW WE WORK
The section is where we settle what is outside. This one cuts through Project Topaz from the back porch to the roof, and the terrace up there exists because of a note on the drawing: waterproof screed laid to falls on the slab. A roof that sheds water is a roof you can put chairs on. The plan does the same job on the ground — every surface at Kleinpaschleben named, and the fall on each one written down.
Most of our work arrives as one discipline and grows. Project Onyx came in as drawings to revise and left as the architecture, the interiors and the landscape. We would rather hold all of it than hand half away.
